Residents of the UAE are in for an exciting start to 2015 as world-famous musical, MAMMA MIA! heads to Dubai. Organised by YAK Events, the event will take place at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from 2nd to 10th January with 14 unforgettable shows and lands just in time to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Dubai Shopping Festival. Tickets are now on sale and start from AED 195.
Based on the classic hits from Swedish band ABBA, MAMMA MIA! is the brainchild of renowned producer, Judy Craymer. The musical combines the story-telling magic of ABBA's timeless songs with an enchanting tale of love, family and friendship on a Greek island paradise. MAMMA MIA! has been seen by more than 54 million people in 39 productions in 14 different languages. The award-winning show is celebrating 15 years in London's West End and is the 9th longest-running musical on Broadway.
Transformed to the big screen in 2008, MAMMA MIA! the movie starred Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan, and is the highest-grossing live action musical film of all time.

With music and lyrics by ABBA frontmen Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, MAMMA MIA! is written by Catherine Johnson and directed by Phyllida Lloyd. The musical is choreographed by Anthony Van Laast, production design by Mark Thompson, lighting design by Howard Harrison, sound design by Andrew Bruce and Bobby Aitken, and musical supervision, additional material and arrangements by Martin Koch.
The International Tour is produced by Judy Craymer, Richard East and Björn Ulvaeus for Littlestar in association with Universal, Stage Entertainment and NGM.
