The Middle East is one of the world’s fastest growing markets for the sweets, snacks and confectionary industry. In the first half of 2018 – the most recent period for which the numbers have been ‘crunched’ – 10 per cent of all new food products introduced in the Middle East came in the snacks category, and 9 per cent in the confectionery category.
Given this booming appetite for innovative and fresh products, it’s no surprise that this year’s yummex – the 13th edition to date – is set to be the biggest yet.
Modelled after ISM, the world’s leading trade fair for sweets and snacks, yummex is the Gulf region’s only event of this type, and an essential platform for producers and manufacturers to present their products and innovations to the region’s buyers and partners.
While the main exhibition is an exhilarating treat for all five senses, yummex also enjoys an excellent reputation as a place to do business and build success. The three days pack in a full programme of exhibits, keynote speeches, networking events and interactive moments.
Yummex is one of several parallel events to Gulfood Manufacturing, all taking place simultaneously in Dubai World Trade Centre. This synergy makes attendance even more appealing for exhibitors and visitors alike.
