Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and the World Green Economy Organisation in collaboration with global partners, the World Green Economy Summit is a leading global voice, advocating the need for an economy that doesn’t cost us our planet.

The summit plays a pivotal role in boosting sustainable development solutions around the globe - the only path to a greener economy. Renowned global heavyweights and luminaries congregate here to discuss breakthrough technologies as alternative and effective resources of energy - pressing the case for eco-friendly profitability worldwide. The World Green Economy Summit 2017, held under the theme ‘Driving Innovation, Leading Change’ attracted more than 3,000 participants making it the largest in the MENA region. The summit was held in conjunction with the 19th edition of Water, Energy, Technology and Energy Exhibition - WETEX 2017 - and the 2nd edition of the Dubai Solar Show 2017, as part of the Green Week activities in Dubai.
