Organised annually by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), the 21st edition of WETEX will be held in October 2019 at Dubai World Trade Centre.
The event has grown dramatically in recent years and now covers three times the floor space it did just eight years ago. To give a sense of that impressive scale, last year WETEX featured 2,100 exhibitors from 53 countries, attracted 35,088 visitors from 80 countries and involved 90 universities, colleges and schools representatives, plus more than 2,500 students in its events.
Most of these attendees are key decision makers from the water, energy, environment, smart cities, green buildings, smart technologies, innovation, space and renewables sectors. This profile reflects the event’s driving purpose: as a product and innovation showcase and debating forum for the latest solutions in conventional and renewable energy, water, sustainability and conservation.
This growth has also expanded the scope of WETEX. Several recently introduced elements will again feature this year. These include the specialised Innovation Hall, a range of Green Week activities, a conservation stand, and other specialised stands and pavilions for national and international companies. WETEX is also timed to coincide with the World Green Economy Summit.
