The Think Science Fair is an annual event under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister and Chairman of the Emirates Foundation (EF); and was first held on a national level in 2013. It has since grown to the renowned scientific fair it is today. The Think Science Fair comprises of two main activities, the Think Science Competition and Think Science Connect.
The Think Science Competition aims to encourage teamwork and the cultivation of innovative ideas in the young minds of high school and university students aged 15-35 years, through hands-on experience with science and technology. The students will be provided with the opportunity to display interactive scientific models that they have researched, tested and built as an answer to a current issues that will benefit the global community.
Alongside the Competition, an annual platform called Think Science Connect, will be held with the objective of improving public knowledge, understanding and the perception of science as a whole. The Connect platform offers a range of scientific, practical activities that are introduced by partners of the Emirates Foundation’s as well as universities and other key stakeholders.
This year’s fair is expected to welcome over 15,000 youth visitor over the course of three days, with competition participation from hundreds of contestants from schools and Universities
