The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation is organising its sixth annual Knowledge Summit, with the theme ‘Knowledge: The Path to Sustainable Development’.
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, and the directive of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), the summit is set to take place on November 19th and 20th at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The Knowledge Summit seeks to offer a global knowledge platform bringing together experts and decision makers from around the world to exchange expertise and best practices, and showcase solutions for addressing the challenges facing sustainable development.
In its sixth edition, the summit tackles a wide variety of topics, ranging from the role of knowledge in achieving sustainable development goals to addressing global challenges, such as poverty, hunger, inequality, and climate change, in addition to promoting innovation and sustainable consumption, and offering solutions to protect the environment and ensure peace and prosperity for all people by 2030.
Sessions over the course of the event will cover broad themes in the field of sustainable development, most notably energy and global partnerships, as well as health, women’s empowerment, sustainable education, gender equality and building healthy communities.
The summit will showcase the plans of several countries and their efforts related to renewable energy sources, building resource-based economies, achieving high productivity through diversification and adopting innovation as a means to build sustainable cities and combatting climate change.
