Brightening up Dubai World Trade Centre and the entire city, Middle East Film and Comic Con (MEFCC) returns in 2020 for its ninth edition – continuing its run as the longest-established and biggest event of its kind in the region.
Over three colourful and fun-filled days, MEFCC is an invaluable event for those working in the regional entertainment industry, and a great day out for the general public.
Popular features include the eagerly awaited cosplay competition, enabling fans to assume their favourite alter ego, from big screen superheroes to cartoon characters and everything in between. The contest also acts as the region’s preliminary round of the world cosplay summit, where last year’s winners progressed to the finals in Japan.
MEFCC also has a dedicated theatre venue, where visitors can watch exclusive trailers and classic screenings, as well as larger Q&A sessions with international celebrities. This hub is surrounded by a bustling environment of entertainment, games, activities, fun-sports, VR experiences, world-firsts, mini-carnivals, food-festivals, gaming tournaments and so much more. No wonder so many visitors attend every day of the show – and come back year after year.
