Back for its eighth edition, the Middle East’s largest annual pop culture celebration will light up DWTC for three days this April.
Building on its origins – as a platform for the local community of film and TV fans to unite, explore and indulge in entertainment-based fun – Middle East Film and Comic Con (MEFCC) is now also recognised as an important forum for the region’s creative sectors; a yearly burst of energy that enables dreams, inspires young minds and develops talent.
Its dynamic agenda now features guest appearances, games, activities, fun-sports, VR experiences, world-firsts, mini-carnivals, food-festivals, gaming tournaments and much more. Visitors can meet movie and TV stars, participate in workshops conducted by international artists and experts, attend exclusive film previews and enjoy a variety of live shows and performances.
The 2018 edition attracted more than 45,000 visitors from 25 countries; a number that the 2019 event could well exceed, with over 400 exhibitors already confirmed, and celebrity guests such as Ross Marquand, star of The Walking Dead and Avengers Infinity War, lined up to appear.
MEFCC 2019 will also incorporate the World Cosplay Summit Preliminaries, where winners will have the chance to be part of the finals in Japan later this year.
