Since its inception in 2004, the Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Conference and Exhibition (DIHAD) has been leading the way as the region's foremost platform for the exchange of humanitarian ideas, principles and practices. Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, DIHAD has emerged as a strong global voice, focused on making a difference to the world we live in.
In its 16th edition, the conference will unite senior aid and development delegates, government advisors and representatives from nine United Nations agencies under one roof. With key discussions around the refugee crisis, the upcoming event will see the confluence of the Red Cross and Red Crescent societies, local and international NGO's, investors, donors and private sector representatives.
DIHAD will also foster interaction and robust partnerships between humanitarian leaders and those in the field. The ground-breaking event is also a conduit for progressive new ideas as discussions and exhibitor displays revolve around the launch of new relief products and services.
Last year's successful turnout proved yet again that DIHAD is the most decisive forum for change. The numbers speak for themselves, with over 550 delegates, 55 top humanitarian speakers, and 5,300 high-level attendees from more than 75 countries attending the event.DIHAD was hailed as the perfect networking opportunity by 70% of the participants, with over 440 brands and 200 companies participating. A whopping 89% of these exhibitors claimed to be very satisfied with the outcome of the event.
Built on the premise that international cooperation can save lives, DIHAD is a must-visit event for those passionate about humanitarian work.
