In September 2019, the UAE Cabinet issued 10 new declarations to support its Emiratisation programme. The aim is to deliver 20,000 jobs for Emiratis in key sectors over the next three years, with banking, aviation, telecommunications, insurance and real estate all at the forefront.
In tandem, the Cabinet also approved a fund of AED300m to train 18,000 citizens, and allocated a proportion of tax revenues to support Emiratisation, including the provision of training for 8,000 Emiratis annually in the private sector.
Given this major boost and focus, Careers UAE is even more important this year, both for Emirati jobseekers and for the companies looking to support these new government initiatives and secure leading talent.
Since its launch 20 years ago, the event has helped hundreds of organisations achieve their Emiratisation goals and thousands of individuals secure their next career move.
