Before your event starts we recommend that you work through the following checklist to ensure you are prepared:

- Read your exhibitors’ manual thoroughly
- Book ad space in trade magazines
- Request exhibitor badges
- Review your objectives and make a plan
- Create show collateral and give-aways
- Appoint a stand contractor

- Check that your stand and its contents are insured

- Choose the right show. Pick one with a good record of attracting your kind of buyers.
- Book your stand early. You’ll have a better choice, more time to plan and the chance of an early booking discount.
- Start promoting early. Send letters to current and potential clients to let them know you’re exhibiting.
- Design your stand carefully to enhance your offerings. Make sure your product is the main feature so visitors know what you do.
- Look for qualified buyers. Get your staff to search out the right people, qualify their interest and record their details.
- Follow up. The show is the first big step, but for the best results contact all the buyers you meet afterwards.
